About Us

Dr. Rita was an associate dentist in Edmonton until 2009, when she founded Galerie Dental Care so she could serve the family dental needs of Beaumont and the surrounding communities. Passionate about general dentistry and the many ways she can help every member of your family smile with confidence, Dr. Rita consistently pursues knowledge about the latest improvements in dental technologies and techniques. When asked about her dental interests, Dr. Rita said, “I particularly enjoy orthodontic treatments – especially early treatment using Myofunctional Therapy to help your child’s growth and development to minimize the future need for more extensive management.”

Born and raised in Edmonton, Dr. Rita initiated her studies at the University of Alberta in 1996 to pursue her Bachelor of Medical Science degree. In 2003, Dr. Rita earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Rita’s artistic side extends outside of her work in dentistry, as she enjoys painting in her spare time. She loves practising yoga and has also recently taken up skiing. However most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, and her friends, building long-lasting relationships – just as she does with each and every patient she sees at Galerie.

After practising in Winnipeg for several years as an associate, Dr. Mahesh moved to Edmonton to be closer to the Rocky Mountains! Dedicated to providing customized, personalized care for your family, Dr. Mahesh pursues knowledge of advances in dental care treatments and technologies. When asked about his dental interests, Dr. Mahesh replied, “I have a particular interest in placing and restoring dental implants, along with Crown And Bridge work, to help my patients achieve the smile of their dreams."

Dr. Mahesh was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He pursued a Bachelor in Biochemistry and Biology degree from the University of Winnipeg before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba.

Dr. Mahesh is married to his wonderful wife, Malar and they have a beautiful young daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors and travelling.

Erin is a long-time smiling star managing the front desk team at Galerie Dental Care. She is a NAIT graduate from the Dental Laboratory program and brings great administrative and clinical perspective to the team. Her vast dental experience and calm, caring manner helps patients with their scheduling, insurance, and financial questions and concerns.

“I feel fortunate to be part of such a dedicated and caring team. Having lived in the beautiful town of Beaumont since 1990, it is a pleasure to greet familiar faces and welcome new patients to our office. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, acreage living, coffee, and a good book.”

Sarah has been part of the Galerie Dental Care team since 2011. She enjoys the constant learning she does as a dental assistant working with highly skilled dentists and is great with our family of patients. She is also certified in “scaling” which allows her to provide the children in our office with a relaxed and gentle cleaning while their parent or parents are having their teeth cleaned by one of our hygienists. This special skill provides families at Galerie Dental Care greater flexibility and scheduling options. Sarah is also certified in orthodontics. “I love helping patients obtain their perfect smiles and a healthy mouth.”

Outside the office, Sarah enjoys time with her husband and young family.

Charmaine is a Registered Dental Assistant at Galerie Dental Care. She also regularly helps at the front desk. A people person through and through, Charmaine is truly passionate about helping patients to understand their dental health needs and how best to achieve their goals for oral health.

Charmaine thrives on variety and appreciates the fact that every patient is a unique individual with his or her own specific wants, needs and desires. “It is a position that allows me to be constantly learning and challenging myself and it is certainly never boring!”

Away from the office, Charmaine and her husband are raising a baby and a busy, already-hockey-loving boy. They like to be outdoors as much as possible in the summer and can usually be found on a ball diamond; in winter it’s volleyball.

Kari is another Registered Dental Assistant at Galerie Dental Care. She is certified in orthodontics and helps facilitate the care of our orthodontic patients and has been a part of this amazing team since 2009. “I am so proud to be able to provide our patients with a high level of healthcare in an extremely fun and comfortable environment. I believe it is important to have fun at home and in the workplace. That is why I am so lucky to be a part of the Galerie Dental Care team.”

When not enjoying her work at Galerie, Kari enjoys spending time with her young son and husband. They love running around outside and being active. She has a passion for yoga, loves baking for others, and enjoys playing family games.

Joining our team in 2019 with 13 years’ experience as a dental assistant, Janelle brings with her a wealth of knowledge in almost all facets of dentistry. With this experience, she delivers knowledge, compassion, and expert care to all of her patients. Growing up in the dental world, where she learned the importance of being understanding and supportive, has also played a vital role in her career today.

Outside of work you will find Janelle spending time with her family, cooking soups, singing, and reading. She is thrilled to be a part of the Galerie Dental Care family.

Nancy is one of our great Registered Dental Hygienists at Galerie Dental Care and has been an integral part of the team since we opened our doors in 2009. She has been a hygienist for more than 10 years, graduating from the U of A with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and a Bachelor of Science Degree specializing in Dental Hygiene. Nancy possesses a calm and caring manner that our patients really enjoy.

Nancy has the unique ability to communicate with adults and children alike and has established long-term relationships with many of the great families that come to Galerie Dental. “I really pride myself on delivering very gentle, but thorough, dental hygiene care. Every day I feel rewarded when we, as a team at Galerie Dental, help motivate and empower people to improve and maintain their oral health!”

Outside of the office, Nancy enjoys time with her husband and two daughters, family outings, and travel.

Tenaya is a registered dental hygienist who has focused her career on providing thorough oral education to patients. Her favorite aspect of the job is pediatric care, and she enjoys helping all patients achieve optimal oral and overall health. Tenaya chose our practice as her dental home because we're progressive - with the latest technology, philosophy, and modern facilities - and because we're passionate about what we do.

Outside of work, Tenaya is married to Brayden and together, they enjoy spending time with family and their dog Mookie. She also loves to read books and be outdoors.

Nadine is a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) who graduated from the University of Alberta with a diploma in dental hygiene. She chose this career path because she has always enjoyed working with people and focus is providing comfortable, thorough dental hygiene therapy. Her favourite aspect of her job is meeting new people and getting to know them on a personal level. When she was looking for a dental practice to join, she was drawn to Galerie Dental Care because of our people-centric philosophy.

Outside of work, Nadine is engaged to Sean and they are planning a wedding for July 2022. They have two young children, Brooklyn (5) and Lincoln (3), as well as a dog named Stella. In her spare time, Nadine likes to be outside camping, sailing, and boating. She grew up in Edmonton and loves our town's more relaxed feel.

Raelene joined the Galerie Dental Care Hygiene Team in the fall of 2017. She brings 15 years of dental hygiene experience and a true passion for patient care. When you meet her, you experience her genuine commitment to help patients achieve optimal oral health, which in turn helps them achieve better overall health. Raelene’s career has been spent working in general practice focused in dental implantology, taking care of and maintaining dental implant health as well as helping patients maintain oral health in complex circumstances. The greatest satisfaction for Raelene comes from patients feeling comfortable and relaxed in the dental chair and getting to know them and their families on a personal level.

Raelene graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree with honours from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry in 2003. Prior to that, she practised as a Dental Assistant after graduating from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1999 with her dental assistant certificate.

Outside of work Raelene enjoys spending time with her husband and two very active boys. (Preferably on a beach in Mexico or in the mountains hiking and enjoying the views.) She is as passionate about the joys of family and life in everything she does personally and professionally.
